·
What we are and what we do:
ARINC Speakeasy is a corporate-sponsored Toastmasters club for ARINC
employees but anyone can join - membership is open to the public.
ARINC Speakeasy is club number 3787 in Area 34, Division C, District
18.
The mission of our club is to provide a mutually supportive and
positive learning environment in which every member has the opportunity to
develop communication and leadership skills which in turn foster
self-confidence and personal growth.
Learning takes place at club meetings where members practice giving
speeches and help one another by evaluating the speaker and giving feedback and
suggestions for improvement.
We use the speech manuals and structured program
prescribed by Toastmasters International to become a competent communicator
(CC) and advanced communicator (AC). Members prepare speeches based
on projects in the manuals and learn by actively participating at meetings. A vital part of
Toastmasters training is developing the skill to think fast on your feet.
We do this at every meeting by participating in Table Topics.
Members receive certificates of recognition from Toastmasters
International upon completion of the CC and AC programs.
